Conveyor Vertical Safety Take-up Station

KCM Engineers cc developed and patented the Vertical Safety Take-up Station (VSTS) for most plant conveyors to facilitate easy take up isolation.

The VSTS enables the operator to remove the preliminary belt tension and all stored energy, caused by the take-up, with the push of a button. Workers are completly removed from the physical isolation task. When the tension is removed, the carriage and counterweights are lowered to ground level.

With its vertical design and integrated counterweight system, the footprint of the take-up is minimal. The VSTS will fit almost all the time into the existing space as your current gravity take-up when retrofitting is considered.
